Newman After 3 is an experience like no other!
The After 3 program provides an opportunity for students to be engaged in unique, age appropriate learning and growing experiences after school and on selected Saturdays. The program's atmosphere is very similar to Newman Summer Day Camp, where children have the opportunity to experience a very broad range of activities often not available during the school day.
The weekday After 3 program is available Monday through Friday starting on the first day of school in August and continuing until the last class day of the year in May for Newman School students only. The Saturday program is open to students from all schools. With a large staff of instructors and counselors, including Newman faculty members, classes, group activities, and private lessons are offered throughout the school year. Students can sign up for enrichment in areas such as language, music, visual arts, and more. Parents have the option to register children for a full session (fall, winter, and spring) of a Monday through Friday or Saturday schedule, or any combination of days. Additionally, children are welcome and encouraged to join a weekday After 3 afternoon as a “drop in” student, paying for the experience by the hour.
For 2012 – 2013 the “Home Base” experience has expanded and changed its name; the daily activity period from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. formerly called “Home Base” is now the “Activity Power Hour.” Parents will enroll students in “Activity Power Hour” like any other After 3 class, but each day students enrolled in “Activity Power Hour” will have choices and have the opportunity to pick their preferred activity. Each day there will be options in the visual arts, sports, technology, performing arts, camp games, and more.
