Activity Power Hour - Pre-K/K
Open to Newman students only
Activity Power Hour (APH) for our youngest Greenies includes a 30-minute, in-classroom, extracurricular activity and a 30-minute active game. The classroom activity is often an art project but could also be a science or music activity. Some projects we did last session include watercolor resist paintings, toilet paper roll mummies, and finger puppets. The active portion of Pre-K/K Activity Power Hour includes P.E. games, races, and obstacle courses. We focus on teamwork skills and games that do not single out a winner. Unlike 1st - 5th grade APH, PreK/K APH does not include a choice of activities.
Students who attend as a Drop-In are welcome to participate in Activity Power Hour.
